How Much Does a Kenya Safari Cost in 2026?

A Kenya safari can run anywhere from $150 to $1,000+ per person per day, and almost all of that spread comes down to three things: where you sleep, how many other guests share your vehicle, and how far you fly versus drive.

What moves the price

  • Park conservancy fees, which are highest in the Mara's private conservancies
  • Shared group safari vs a private vehicle and guide
  • Road transfers vs light-aircraft flights between parks

A good rule of thumb: budget group safaris out of Nairobi start around $150–200/day, mid-range lodge circuits sit at $300–450/day, and Mara conservancy luxury camps with flying transfers push past $700/day. None of that includes international flights.
