Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 2, 2026

This policy covers Craft Yo Safari and Safari Stories, our companion app for capturing and sharing safari moments. It explains what information we collect when you browse safaris, build itineraries, contact operators, or post to challenges — and how we use and safeguard it.

01Information we collect

We collect information you provide directly and data gathered automatically as you use the platform:

  • Account details — your first and last name, email address, phone number, country, and the credentials used to sign in.
  • Trip activity — itineraries you build, destinations you save, and enquiries you send to operators.
  • Challenge content — photos and videos you upload to Safari Stories challenges, along with the caption and visibility setting (Public or Private) you choose for each post.
  • Reports and appeals — if you report a post, or if one of your posts is reported, we keep the reason given and any appeal message submitted about it.
  • Usage data — pages viewed, device and browser type, and approximate location derived from your IP address.

02How we use your information

Your information helps us deliver and improve the service. Specifically, we use it to:

  • Create and manage your account and saved itineraries.
  • Connect you with safari operators and process booking enquiries.
  • Publish your Public challenge posts to the Safari Stories community and keep your Private posts visible only to you.
  • Review reported posts and the appeal you submit in response, so we can decide fairly whether a post stays up or is removed.
  • Send service updates and, where you have opted in, travel inspiration.
  • Understand how the platform is used so we can make it better.

03Challenge posts, visibility, and reporting

Safari Stories lets you record photos and videos for challenges and choose how each post is shared:

  • Private posts are visible only to you — never to other users or the public community feed.
  • Public posts are visible to other Safari Stories users and can be reported by any user who believes a post breaks our community guidelines.

When a Public post is reported, we record the reporting user, the reason given, and any description provided, and the post is flagged for review. The post owner is notified and may submit one appeal message in response — only one appeal is accepted per report. Our team reviews the report and any appeal, then either restores the post to Public visibility or removes it permanently. We retain the report and appeal record for as long as needed to document how the decision was made.

04Sharing your information

We share booking details with the safari operators you choose to enquire with, and with trusted service providers who help us run the platform (such as hosting and analytics). We never sell your personal data. We may disclose information where required by law.

05Data retention and security

We keep your information only as long as needed to provide the service and meet legal obligations. We use industry-standard safeguards to protect your data, though no method of transmission over the internet is completely secure.

06Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • Access, correct, or delete the personal data we hold about you.
  • Object to or restrict certain processing of your data.
  • Withdraw consent for marketing communications at any time.

To delete your account and the data attached to it, use our account deletion request form. Deletion requests are processed within 30 working days. For any other request, contact us using the details below.
